A global Alternate Reality Game to promote McDonald's Olympic sponsorship. We set up on online mystery asking players to help discover the identity of a girl with amnesia.  The characters in the game spanned multiple countries, and we created dozens of websites, blogs, videos, mobile sites, and even podcasts, to help players unlock the mystery, which resulted in a real-world treasure hunt.  OH! And McDonald's asked us to take the logo off 90% of the work, which is the only time someone has said, "Make the logo smaller".

We created a global Alternate Reality Game (Think one big online and real world treasure hunt slash puzzle slash real world events) to promote McDonald's Olympic sponsorship. We seeded an online mystery asking players to help discover the identity of a girl with amnesia - and we soon discovered, she was not alone. The characters in the game spanned multiple countries, and we created dozens of websites, blogs, videos, mobile sites, and even podcasts, to help players unlock the mystery, which lead to a real-world treasure hunt.  OH! And McDonald's asked us to take the logo off 90% of the work, which is the only time a client has said, "Make the logo smaller".

We designed, (and hid 5) Olympic rings across the globe.  Players had to find them, translate the copy from the inside, and solve the puzzle to unlock the final prize: a trip to the Olympics.
